Really hope Iowa’s fade down the stretch does factor into their seeding (although they say recency bias doesn’t, it does) and gets them to a 10 seed. Need to avoid teams with 2 top guards and a big that Iowa just can’t matchup with.

Iowa lacking having two top level scoring guards and a big that can alter shots down low are very obvious when watching all these teams still playing and teams that will go deep in March. Hopefully Ben has the funds to address that this offseason and gets the right guys from the portal this time.

Iowa State should’ve won the that game with that home court advantage.

Iowa needs to get themselves a European player named “-vic or -vich” next season. Seems all the great teams got one.

Don’t disagree with you here. I would expect a regress next season though with Stirtz gone and mostly unproven roster returning. Iowa MBB financials aren’t bad but not enough to compete with top dogs. Portal was more miss for Ben in year 1. Will take 1-2 more seasons for player development.

I don’t know that the fickle fanbase will be like Cyclones fan but Beth with stick with him, as she should. I could easily see if next 2-3 years are like this year or worse it will get apathetic again.

I would like Iowa to half the success Iowa State basketball has. They are going to win another Big 12 championship. Unreal.

They can matchup with Arizona talent wise. Throw in home court advantage now with 75% Cyclone fans there in attendance. It shows be a mother Big 12 championship

As expected, Cyclones have taken over Kansas City. They should dispatch of Arizona easily tonight. Likely yet another Big 12 championship. Earn them a 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and we’ll see what they do but this is probably their best/easiest path to an Elite 8 again.

Yeah think Michigan will be number 1 overall seed and Iowa the lowest 9 seed (if not a 10) so this makes sense. I don’t think Iowa wins their 1st round game honestly so doesn’t matter. Hopefully can attack offseason hard early as it is very glaring what Iowa needs to address but will be expensive

I do think McCollum is going to be on a very similar path as Hoiberg at Nebraska has been. That’s who we should be comparing it too. Just think we are going to have to be very patient for this to pay off in a few years.
