I am curious about things (except cricket). I like animated conversations that are silly or serious. I embrace people who make think or laugh or see things from a new perspective. I love learning from and with others. Human + SL avatar.

I keep thinking how lucky I have been to grow up in a relatively peaceful democracy in a small window of history where democracies have been one of the norms. I hope that continues. Letting a greedy self-serving school yard-bully type into leadship seldom goes well at any level, let alone globally.

I musical bingoed this week - and even after a day with lots of bleurgh it lifted my spirts. You are allowed to shazam (coz it's bingo not trivia). I recommend the experience.

PNG’s founding leaders didn’t just inherit Australian institutions – they reimagined how they could best suit the country’s traditional culture.

Today I saw many posts sharing an email from Google saying the country and state associated with their account had been updated. Adjusting the associated country may impact governace of your data and account and privacy options. If you think on this too much, it can look worrisome.

Albania appoints AI bot as minister to tackle corruption A new minister in Albania charged to handle public procurement will be impervious to bribes, threats, or attempts to curry favour. That is because Diella, as she is called, is an AI-generated bot.

AI can have training bias. Checks and balances? I shall watch this space:

Albania has an AI bot as a Minister. For real. www.reuters.com/technology/a...

Crocs. Uggs. Apple. Some people defend them with the same energy others defend democracy.

My colleague is passionate about Crocs. Their enthusiasm makes me want to listen and I am not a fan.

What is your Crocs? A thing you love that makes people laugh or groan together - and that builds community?

This dramatic headline in The Advertiser caught my eye as I went by:

"Evil cook gets 33 years as it is revealed she was born in Adelaide: JUSTICE IS SERVED"

(It reads like she doing time because she was from Adelaide not because she served up some toxic mushrooms)

Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change. Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

β€œOver the past 20 years, Paris has undergone a major physical transformation, trading automotive arteries for bike lanes, adding green spaces and eliminating 50,000 parking spaces.

Part of the payoff has been invisible β€” in the air itself.”

Leadership, strategy, real action, common sense. #Paris
