Hey, remember the early days of Covid when the incompetent President was utterly overwhelmed by worsening circumstances and did the only thing he knows how to do, go on TV all the time and spout transparent bullshit? You don’t have to! He’s doing it again!

this, van airbrushing, or a black light poster is the ideal expression of this character, a great design in search of a good comic

I had scarlet fever when I was four or five and my parents got me the Origins of Marvel Comics/Son of Origins/Bring on the Bad Guys and the Feiffer Great Comic Book Heroes. All enormous influences on me, as much for the historical context they provided (largely fake in Stan’s case) as the comics.

There's something deeply obscene and broken about the fact that Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are bombing elementary schools in an illegal war of aggression, and there's still a sense among the opposition that it has to be explained in terms of gas prices in order to get American voters to care.

There’s no DC No-Prize, and continuity is the devil, but it would be very Luthor to be losing his hair anyway, then blame Superboy for the accident that made it fall out a little faster

I recall spring of 1990, as a college freshman, walking downtown to the record store to get Shake Your Money Maker on cassette. I was getting my mind blown by the Pixies, Replacements, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, et al— but I was still excited by neo-classic rock done well.
