Why is it regrettable unless you know I was the better candidate?
I sent the follow up email. Now I practice radical acceptance, accept that things are out of my control at this point, and I go about my life. That and remember to breathe.

I shouldn't have looked at the news today. This is class warfare and it is costing lives. I do not pretend to comprehend this willful maliciousness. I just don't get it. Why do so many with so much have so much hate in their souls? Why do so many with so little have so much hate for themselves?

Depression is a vile illness. Not a bad day. Not a grumpy disposition. It saps your enthusiasm for almost anything and makes everything else 10x more difficult. It does all this but it does it to everyone around you too. Then you have a moment of clarity and realize what a burden you are.
