Just watched NASA’s Crew-11 heading back home from space!

Glad they touched down safely and wishing for the best for the crew member with the medical issue.

2026 Voice Acting-related Goals:

I don’t have a lot to show off for 2025. It was a very rough year for me. But it also feels transitional. I took a lot more in-person classes, met so many friends, conquered stage fright doing an open audition, and got opportunities I’m so humbled to have even be considered for.

Finished season 2 of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, and I really hope we see Sam in future Tomb Raider games even if just a small supporting role. Always wished she was in Rise and Shadow, and I absolutely adored her character and her relationship with Lara in the show. #TombRaider #samlara

Looking it up, other social media accounts of Margery Simkin were hacked as well and used for scams.

I did it! I got my first gaming PC!

Today was a gauntlet of emotions for my auditions.

Started super stressed out and overthinking them, and ended with having so much fun that I don’t even mind if I don’t actually get cast since I at least got to play for a couple hours.

Need to remember to ignore the worries.

My grandma had her surgery a few days ago and got released from the hospital today. Everything went well. They want her back in a couple weeks to run more tests and check on her.

Just bought tickets to go to Anime Expo next weekend! Looking forward to hopefully seeing a lot of friends there, enjoy the art, guests, and panels, and take a chance at being selected to audition for Bang Zoom. If anyone is going Friday or Saturday please let me know!

Mostly the former kind, where they are “Hey we saw your profile and want to work with you” but is worded really weird and comes from a suspicious account, one where I’m the BCC with a big name attached to it as the main person emailed, and one that works with AI. No Game Show Host in this batch.

I’ve gotten more of those scam voice actor emails these past few weeks than I have the entire rest of my voice acting career combined.

If getting one of them means you made it as a voice actor, I wonder what getting this many means.

Thank you so much @soundonstudio.bsky.social @brennalarsen.bsky.social for an illuminating class tonight! I learned how to get into sad or dark or vulnerable parts of myself so much more naturally and feel more authentic. And just as important how to healthily get out of those places when done.

If Trump is not impeached and removed from office for what he just did, this will further prove that we are in a dictatorship in all but name. He’s unambiguously going against the Constitution and the other two branches of government.

Sadly we all know nothing will be done.

I’d appreciate it if everyone kept my grandma in their thoughts, hearts, or prayers. Recently she was diagnosed with breast cancer that spread to her armpit, and will need surgery to try to remove it. Hopefully she’ll be approved to have it within a month.

Playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard again, and I’m so thankful that it not only lets us play as a non-binary protagonist but they actually talk about it, like the mirror scene or to various NPCs about embracing yourself and of course the ones with Taash helping them with their journey

I’ve been feeling really down about myself with this the past few weeks. I’ve been in a drought for a year now, with any new roles I did book never starting or getting dropped due to things like AI. I feel trapped and worthless.

I wanted to say thank you again for all your work. I absolutely love Bellara both as a character but also how much she is like me so I related to her and her journey. Even more when you said we could see her as Ace.

It really is a shame the fandom got filled with people like that. I have a lot of wonderful memories with the fandom in earlier days, including some that helped me discover parts of myself, so to see that be tarnished to the point that the devs don’t want to talk about the series is heartbreaking.
