US Lawmakers Move to Kill the FBI’s Warrantless Wiretap Access
A bipartisan bill would force the FBI to get a warrant to read Americans’ messages and ban the federal purchase of commercial data on US residents ahead of a critical April deadline.
NEW: A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced a bill requiring warrants for FBI searches of Americans' communications under FISA, aligning federal law w/ a 2025 ruling that found the practice unconstitutional.
It would also ban the government from buying Americans' private data from data brokers.

Certain dudes are still upset with me when I said in 2012 that here in the US, being a straight white male is living on the lowest difficulty setting of life. From here on out I'm just going to refer them to these DOGE staffer depositions, and then tell them to go fuck themselves.

The irony is that the subway is the ordinary way many New York City kids get to and from school. New York provides school buses through 6th grade and assumes kids will use free OMNY cards afterwards. The subways teem with teens.

He's 29. Dropped out of college after one year (IU) and likely got on the tech boyz radar because he started an IP company called Brainbase in college. He ended up on Forbes 30 under 30 showing again that that list is cursed.

Sam Altman could be promoting the best product in the world and he would still find a way to describe it in ways that make you want to run your brain through a meat processor instead of buying whatever he is selling

So many people seem to feel like "this thing isn't for me" is somehow them being "wrong" about it, and any more these days "being wrong" is viewed as a massive personal failing for some reason.

At this point it's barely even a boycott, I've just stopped thinking of Target as a place to buy the things I used to buy at Target.

You could evaporate 70% of their individual wealth & they'd still be richer than they know what to do with.
These are not "job creators" and certainly not innovators. They are rich a-holes competing w/ each other for who has the biggest number and they care not a whit for the collateral damage.

Photo of 4 stickers that I got at Emerald City Comic Con. A Miyazaki “Fuck AI” sticker, a cute grandmother mouse, a pikachu playing gameboy, and a cute penguin “Fuck ICE” sticker.
I got so many stickers at ECCC that I can’t remember who some of the artists were 😢
Any eagle-eyed attendees out there who can help me identify who made these?! 🙂

I can't say that I'll be boycotting Chili's as it has been years since I've been in one, and you can't really boycott a restaurant you already don't go to. That said, I'll be happy not to change my habits, transphobia leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Stop payment processors from censoring games!
Really cool how the moral police keeps going after harmless fiction while the Epstein class continues to face zero repercussions for their widespread real life atrocities. Somehow, none of them are getting debanked or anything!
You should keep bullying payment processors stop-paypros.neocities.org

Facebook post by Nekima Levy Armstrong:
"Friends, A Breaking News headline just appeared in the Star Tribune, claiming that the national Target boycott ended today. This is false. The writer of the story, Carson Hartzog, is fully aware that the Target boycott was launched in Minneapolis on February 1, 2025. I have spoken to her several times since then, yet she failed to reach out to me, Jaylani Hussein, or Monique Cullars Doty, the three founders of the national Target boycott for the story. Carson even used the photo from our press conference that includes my daughter, Assata Joy and Ms. Rosemary Nevils, an elder in our community, to try to add legitimacy to a bogus story.
I am once again disgusted by the Star Tribune and their attempts to minimize and erase the voices of our community.
The nationwide Target Boycott is not over, unless and until Target reverses its decision to rollback Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as we said from the beginning. “Pastor” Jamal Bryant does not speak for us or our community and has zero authority to end the nationwide boycott of Target, a company that is headquartered in Minneapolis.
Please don’t believe the hype and these attempts to rescue Target from the effects of capitulating to the Trump Administration. Target rolled back DEI because of Donald Trump. They donated $1 million to the Trump/Vance inauguration committee. Target also allowed ICE to stage in its parking lots during Operation Metro Surge.
The nationwide boycott of Target is successful and it will continue. Please continue to shop elsewhere."

Trump’s Reckless Gutting of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
As the cost of living continues to spiral upward, the White House is dismantling the
government agency built to protect Americans from financial ruin.
Since the 2008 financial crisis, the CFPB has returned $21B to consumers by policing predatory lenders, junk fees, and scams.
Now the administration is sidelining that watchdog and turning it into what @newyorker.com calls a “zombie regulator” just as debt and financial risks are rising.

“Social murder” is a term created by Friedrich Engels to describe the premature death of marginalized people due to political, social, or economic oppression.
What is happening right now in America is the premeditated, calculated, & planned extermination of children who are trans. This is genocide.
