Thanks Vanna. They're very endearing!
Came across the phrase "cognitive DDOS" to describe our present culture.
Understood instantly what it meant.
What a gorgeous beetle! Love it.
I'm hoping a male shows up. Not just because I believe in love, but because they have ridiculously oversized jaws (for wrestling other males with). A bit like the Goofy of the UK jumping spider scene. I 100% agree with you BTW, jumping spiders are very cool.
Yes, that's right. A female Zebra Jumping Spider, the most common species we get in the UK (I think). She's about 6mm long.
I feel this needs to be live streamed! π
Thank you, I'm very pleased with it (normally I will pick holes in everything I do, but this one I'm leaving alone!). π
Ooh, I've seen the Magpies loitering around the pond, but they mostly seem to be having a quick drink and gathering leaves. Maybe I need to watch more closely!
Well, she is tiny... π
A view of a female zebra jumpingn spider, looking down on her slightly from the front. She's standing on a double glazed window, which is reflecting grey, but there's also two reflections of her, underneath her, one from each pane of glass. Her head is canted downwards as if she's admiring how she looks. Her legs and body are finely patterned with little, black, brown, and white hairs, giving her a mottled sort of appearance. Almost like she's been coloured in with fine pencil strokes. Her two main eyes are large for her head, black with white highlights from the camera flash.
Feeling π© today, but the π¦π΄οΈπ·οΈ was on the window in the porch, so distracted myself with 10mins of trying to predict what she was going to do next, to get a π·. I like this one as it looks like she's checking out her purty self in the reflection. #wildlifefrommywindow #arachnid #invertebrates #spider
Wonderful photo, and subject.
No swimming for Zoey then!
Loving the little videos.

Bumblebee on a yellow dandelion flower
Dandelions are starting to appear! Theyβre a vital source of early nectar for bumblebees, butterflies and other insects - and birds feed on the seeds. So please let them grow!

Ah, so a mini desalination plant? Cool!
A stupid question from a landlubber... making water for the tanks, what does that entail?
A head on shot of a small black and white spider, hanging upside down from a white textured plaster ceiling. It has two large black eyes staring at the camera, with a smaller black eye on either side. Its face is mainly white with fine black and light brown details, and a brush of fine black hairs pointing straight downwards. Its body is mainly obscured by its pedipalps, small limbs used for manipulating prey. It's legs are mottled white and black.
I saw a jumping π·οΈ out the corner of my eye. Thought it'd be the Fleecy from before, but it was a βοΈZebra Jumping #spider. Somehow our untidy porch is habitat for 2 sp. of my favourite fam of π·οΈ! Hanging upside down seems to be a hair raising experience! #invertebrates #arachnid #wildlifefrommywindow
Hope it keeps a respectful distance!
A close up photograph of one Goat willow catkin that had burst open releasing its golden pollen where a Vernal Mining bee (Colletes cunicularius) is seen feeding; this is a large, spring-flying solitary bee with a brown buff-hairy thorax, head and abdomen. The background is blurred in a dark brown grey tone. Taken on 5 March 26 UK

The blooms of Goat Willow (Salix caprea) is my star choice; they were providing much needed food for many different pollinators that had emerged in the warm weather! πΏπ·

First round of tropicbird pics taken from the boat. There are about 16 birds in this colony. The national bird of the Bahamas. They do not walk! Other than mating and raising young, they live in the air, soaring. They sleep with half their brain like dolphins. They chirp like a machine.
Hooray! Little Brook found his way into the feeder last night, having missed it on 2 previous visits. I love how his keen nose assesses the new surroundings & leads him to the prize; his face glistening with rain drops. Cute pointy ears too π₯° #pwME #pwLC
Poor GoPro! Bird pics will some what compensate for the lack of turtles. π
Ouch! Hope it's not giving you too much pain.
This is something that the #MEDeliveryPlan FDP should have addressed as an *absolute* priority.
Language matters. Awareness matters.
Great that the BBC are showing these stories, but they shouldn't be getting these details wrong.

Wait, what?! <runs off to use a search engine>
Oh man, I had no idea what was going on. The next week and a bit of going to be like Christmas Eve as a child!
Firefly is one of the few series I'll revisit again and again.
Shiny!
In the absence of my wife I, like you, am viewed as inadequate human company for a canine. Yet it is me he spends the most time with! She is great though, so I try not to take it personally...
Wow! I first spotted this petition when it was in the low 30s.
Never imagined that it would get to nearly 10,000 in less than a week!
Let's keep it going to 100,000, and force Parliament to debate it.
That's when the hard work starts...

Photo of one of two smallest UK birds species, the Firecrest. Weighing the same as a 20p piece, it's a tiny bird, with a dark band through it's eye dark cap with a yellow/orange crest which it raises when alarmed. It's back is olive with hues of yellow. Throat chest and belly is a dull buff to grey.
Searching for Beaver activity on the Somerset levels this pm in the glorious sunshine. Heading back to the car along a road as the sun began to set and found this stunner just a coupe metres from us. #Somersetbirds
Lovely photo of a beautiful bird!
