A few weeks ago a screenshot was going around here of a guy on Twitter posting an AI clip—of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee fighting, I think, or an Office pastiche—saying Hollywood was cooked.
I went and looked. His feed was all AI clips like that. And they were all atrocious. Unwatchable.
I like this analogy, and I'm going to try to figure out how to expand it to encompass the fact that at volumes greater than a sip—a novel, a movie, even a three-minute video clip—AI turns inevitably to bilgewater.
