imagine if transit operations and maintenace costs were so high they started taking highway fund dollars to run the buses lol.
even more funny that the oregon legislature just gave away a bunch of money that could go toward helping make sure this is not the case in the future, to fix a funding problem not even related to amtrak cascades
screenshot of the amtrak booking website for a trip between seattle and salem, OR
pretty funny that the only way to get from seattle to salem on the 29th is to pay 71 dollars for a 23 hr layover in portland because every single other trip is sold out
To be left dead by attacks is the natural state of the Middle Easterner, while in the Western culture (also Israel somehow) being killed is a major taboo.
most washco leaders aren't that bright
can anyone figure out how this thing got approved? one of the plan sheets called out R3 occupancy, so maybe this is being considered to be one big townhome?
So apparently the TV HWY Transit Project has been watered down even further--TriMet says they're only going to be using 40' buses: that means NO ARTICS on a fucking FX ROUTE! This project will have:
- no dedicated ROW
- no signal priority
- no 60-footers
It's literally just a bus... a green bus.
lol so what's the point of even doing a project anymore
thanks but i was outside the building
maybe? these beams are suspect

I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure AASHTO calls them separated
yeah the intent of these is more to stop illegal parking than to protect. it's a relatively low speed, low volume street, so i don't really think full concrete here makes much sense to prioritize
they were installed today, so zero so far. we will see how long they last
that's just how it be - streets downtown were laid out super wide. Corvallis is like that too

yeah.... we have a new transportation engineer that is a bit more knowledgeable about bike/ped, so stuff like this won't be built again
here's a different angle of it

Here's the problem they're intended to fix- people park in these bike lanes when the farmer's market is in session. It was a regular problem!
