It’s possible. I know I got this for Book Club, so I don’t think there was a waitlist on it, so it could just be someone pamphleting books on the shelves and not the person who came before me.

I am hoping the character doesn’t eventually forgive his shitty, abusive parents by the end of the book, but I suppose maybe there’s a little 10 Commandments “honor by father and mother“ in there that made them choose this book for their propaganda?
I don’t think so. I’m 3/4 of the way through, and it’s supposed to be a romcom, but it’s hitting some parental abuse triggers in me, so I think I’ll skip Book Club (zero desire to discuss these things), but it made me extra pissed off to find this in the book.
Someone left Bible propaganda inside my #library book, and I’m fucking pissed about it. Do I let the librarians know when I return it?

I do have Chartreuse, but wouldn't waste it on this. I don't find them interchangeable, but do like the sweet herbal notes Del Santo adds to Collinses and the like. For $25 a bottle, would consider keeping around to make other drinks more interesting. Basically treating it like a green-y triple sec
Ok, that was genuinely unpleasant to drink. I added a glug of Del Santo (more than I had intended, oops) and basically turned it into an herbal gin fizz. #DrinkCheck failure and recovery?
Powdered egg whites still aren’t working for me. And they smell horrible.
At least this one had a tiny bit of foam, but it’s more like soap foam than egg white. The drink also feels more astringent than a cocktail without the egg white; literally making my mouth pucker and dry.

Add some hot sauce and an Old Bay rim, and take it in a Caesar direction? Serve it in little fish shaped glasses. Garnish with tiny fishing rods dangling, ummm… anchovy-stuffed olive? Just fully lean into the idea?
I kind of understand caviar vodka, because oyster infusions are a thing and I do love an oyster stout). And a lot of California gins like to infuse with seaweed or kelp.

I’ve put charred hatch chiles and Hawaiian chile pepper water into my
Bloodies (separate drinks), so I’m on board with charred pepper flavors.
It’s the garlic (and somewhat the idea of eggplant?) that I don’t think I want to drink.

I have no problem with infusions. A salty, smoky savory dip loaded with garlic infused into any drink is a cursed idea. Mayyyybe a bloody, but beyond that?
