But months before the Iran war, the mission was dissolved as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made “lethality” a top priority.

I should say I’m talking about the Party itself. I think about half or more of the elected officials are fantastic. I’m just not a fan of how much they dislike their own base. Complaining is a way to hope it will get better. It’s still participating rather than checking out as hopeless.
We are doing things like donating, running for office, calling our representatives, protesting …it’s just deaf ears. The party actually pays money to discredit this wing of their own party. Why? Because money from rich donors they socialize with in DC is too good to give up. Addicted to dollars.
The outrage I had hoped to see from everyone in our opposition party. But alas…

He cannot seem to learn new things. But the worst part is his supporters drink it up like he is providing Einstein-level observation. Reality is he just free associates and if he finds good words then it becomes his favorite phrase to repeat like TV reruns. We really need new programming.
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.
Both parties are just basically dead to me. Republican Party are just Fascists and Democratic Party are basically lapsed Republicans. We lefties have no real functioning representation right now. I feel like the D-party is just a placeholder for what should be there. I’m hanging in hoping for change

The guy LITERALLY SAID he doesn’t know anything about Tomahawk missiles at this press conference when pressed by a follow-up question (thank you NYT reporter for at least asking why he is the ONLY one saying Iran might have used such a weapon.). Shouldn’t you know SOMETHING if you are using them??

In their remarks, neither Pete Hegseth nor Dan Caine this morning addressed the girls school that was bombed.
They did not get A SINGLE QUESTION about it from people they called on in the room loaded with right-wing hacks.
The Republican Party needs to go. It’s basically just fascists. No ideas for policy improvement. I fantasize about having a real representative party for lefties with leadership that doesn’t despise them like we have now. We need more viable parties in this country. I need better representation.
The billionaires supported these spendthrifts so let them pay the taxes. They installed these nut cases into office with their money and direct coordination. Let THEM support the spending habits. Not regular working people. We’ve had it.

I think a new requirement for any federal office should be caring about American citizens. If you want power and leadership over us then you should have to care about our well-being.
