I find it increasingly difficult to remain a Dodger fan. Last year was the first in over two decades that I didn’t go to a game. Tickets, parking, and food add up to about $600 for a family of four. I’m old enough to remember walking up to the window at game time to get $10 or $12 tickets.
My first proper job when I was a teen was washing dishes in a restaurant in my wee hometown. I would put a tape of this on the stereo in the bar while I cleaned the place before opening time. Indelible memories.
