Third frame shows Dottore's face splitting into a shark grin as he takes his hands out from behind his back, revealing multiple bags of snacks, potato chips, candies and lollipops. He says "She left." and Aino turns to him and eagerly says "Time to crack open the SECRET STASH!!" She stands up on her toes, reaching her hands out for snacks. He asks "Sweet or savoury?" and she chants "Both! Both!" Last frame shows Ineffa coming back and saying "Aino. Your rhimehorn deer is here to visi-" only to trail off with a flat look on her face. Aino is staring at her with wide, guilty eyes, holding a bag of chocolate snacks and having chocolate smeared around her mouth and bulging cheeks. Dottore quickly lowers the bags of snacks he's holding as if to hide them, his cheeks bulging too. Both of them are sweating guiltily. Beside Aino is the text "no snacks for two weeks" and arrow pointing to her, and beside Dottore is the text "will do his own dishes for a month" with an arrow pointing at him. Their expressions are hilarious, trust me.

Another Happy Scrappy au comic! Pour one out for Ineffa having to wrangle TWO mad geniuses with the literal and figurative maturity of an 8 year old, respectively. 🥰

There are different ways to interpret a character that are still valid, specially a minor character with so few appearances. But it’s not enough to be in character, it must seem in character. And sometimes things that are in character but aren’t compliant to fanon feel out of character

Thinking about how probably a lot of people will dislike my take on Xiao Xingchen in my fic because they’ll see it as out of character. I’m very confident that it is faithful to canon, but it’s so far removed from the general fanon characterization of him that it might *feel* like it isn’t

This song feels incredibly relevant today.

If the pov was fixed with only one character it would be a very different story, since I play a lot with what one if them knows and the other does not. Sacrificing any of their POV’s would mean openly talking about some twists that I manage to hide from the reader through the switch in POV

The narration is third-person limited and the POV alternates between the three of them, sometimes in the same chapters, without much pattern or frequency (except what I judge to be the best way to tell the story).

A line I like is also hard to pick bc this baby is almost 55k currently… but I’d say I like the effect of this transition

A background element im fond of… hmm that one is hard. But there are a handful of flashbacks about how songxiao first met that I think are quite lovely

The inspiration for this fic was actually a different idea I had for a post canon SongXue enemies to lovers omegaverse, that I changed into sxx and into the current story. Also the lack of omegaverse in the yi city tags convinced me I had to cook my own food

The genre… that one is hard. The xianxia setting plays some role but not main one, most of the story is character drama. I think all my fics are a bit telenovela in spirit

Canonverse, but omegaverse. Basically every event in canon happened as it did, but the logic of canon operates along with the logics of omegaverse. The story takes place almost entirely inside Yi City
