Canadians bombarded with rightwing content on Musk’s X ahead of election FT analysis finds network of social media accounts attacking Liberal leader Mark Carney

I've really noticed this during the election. Twitter has been a fire hose of right-wing content in a way that it never was during the past few elections. Part of that is people on the left/center quitting the platform, but structure elements also have to play a role.

Debate review: Carney is trying to pretend he's not the incumbent. Poilievre is trying to pretend he hasn't been running as Trump-lite for the last two years. I suspect both parties got the news clips they were hoping for.

Carney orders review of F-35 fighter jet purchase from U.S.’s Lockheed Martin Prime Minister Mark Carney has asked for a review of Canada’s plan to purchase a fleet of F-35 fighter jets.

It seems ridiculous, but I think we actually have to pause this. If the US president is consistently talking about us becoming a 51st state and is declaring economic war on us, we can't beholden to the US for our military equipment: www.ctvnews.ca/politics/art...

Trump has attacked trans people, immigrants, government employees, the industrial base of other countries, and countries and places benefiting from US aid. If you don't think he's been delivering "treats" then you fundamentally don't understand the coalition that elected him.
