50 min speedpaint. Had to give myself the extra five mins since I spent so long trying to paint a more detailed eye. Anyway, all three are now ready for oil washing, I'll get back to the eye business after that.

Tested sculpting some medals for my toff. While the cross pattée seemed to be rather common in Napoleonic medals (based on my super brief search), I might not use it after all. Don't want people to think that I'm one of Those Wargamers.

Yes, exactly! The only good way to paint is the way that is fun. And for me at least, nothing is more fun than trying out different approaches.

Especially since this helps to push the models out of the dreaded ass phase, and you can always go back to tinker with them further.

I've never been too into speedpainting, because it felt like taking the fun out of the process and turning it into a chore. Roman Lappat's videos really opened my eyes to how fun it can be.
