Four more NC state parks are partially opening today after #Helene

They are Elk Knob, Lake James, New River and Stone Mountain. Mount Jefferson is expected to reopen before the end of the month.

Gov. Roy Cooper just announced that more than $14 million has been donated to the state disaster relief fund since #Helene damaged Western NC.
Money goes to nonprofit grants, per Cooper.
