This year, we will be sharing stories from children and young people on how having a neurological condition, or living with neurological conditions in the family, has affected their mental health.

Our second members' meeting of 2026 will be taking place on Tues 10 March, 10:30 - 12pm. We will be joined by Dr Mark Wong, Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow to discuss the challenges of AI enabled discrimination and other AI harms that health and public services may face.
Healthcare professionals, including GPs, neurologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses, are encouraged to register for the upcoming session or access past recordings via the PSPA

the session will focus on:
1. Recognising early clinical signs across motor and non-motor domains
2. Differentiating PSP and CBD from Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s
3. The vital role of multidisciplinary teams in coordinated care.
PSPA has announced a schedule of four Masterclasses for the coming year. The first session of 2026, “The Impact of PSP & CBD on Cognition and Mental Health,” will take place on 25 March at 6.30pm in Glasgow.

Charlotte's story reinforces the recommendations from our report (Today's Challenge, Tomorrow's Hope) of the critical need for co-ordination of care, better system awareness of neurological conditions and investment in neurology services to reduce diagnostic delays.

A further one in five children cannot access any mental health support at all.
