I am frankly unimpressed by any org that defaults to putting you on multiple mailing lists. That should be 100% opt-in.
If the mailings stop after I've unsubscribed to these two unfamiliar groups, I'll have no further problem with them. But I will be posting each additional new mailing here if it continues.
I was not informed in any reasonable way that I was being added to multiple mailing lists.

By all means point it out if I unwittingly repost misinformation by others, but if you require "evidence" when I post my personally lived experience, might I suggest you go ahead and unfollow? Why would you follow someone you assume to be a liar?

If it continues I will be more than happy to share each and every unsolicited email on here but I was not prepared to be assumed dishonest so I did not keep the emails around.
I was ready to write the first one off as a fluke but the rapid appearance of a second one has me assuming they will keep coming, and I have no permanent recourse.
You're free to assume I'm lying but I'm not sure why I'd do that. I've gotten two unwanted emails since I responded to a call to action last week from organizations I'd never heard of and at the bottom they both say "Sent via Action Network" but the unsubscribe link is always to the specific org.

Warning: if you value your inbox integrity do NOT participate in anything from actionnetwork.org no matter how important. They apparently share your email with ALL the activists who use their site and the only recourse is to unsubscribe from these endless unsolicited mailing lists one at a time.
As is evidenced by the fact that I just put an apostrophe in the wrong place, which is the real crime here.
I'm not sure what most people's reality is like, but I've rarely attended events where a man was burned alive while pigs ate attendee's vomit and people freely copulated while watching all of the above. I would classify that as dark fantasy.

It isn't bad, depending on your goals. What I object to is doing it to deliberately provoke shock and disgust (brilliantly done given the jaded nature of the audience) but then claiming that was not your aim, that you are simply trying to depict reality and "respect intellect."
