2 posts one atop the other. In the first @moist.dad has posted a picture of his cat sat atop a crumpled up piece of grey clothing. The post reads Cocoa Puff: enjoys my stinky flight suits for some reason.
Below it a post from @antlervel.vet. In it she quote posting someone entirely unrelated to the cat picture and replaying
What do you mean “for some reason”
The timeline sometimes produces pure gold as it does here during a rare collision of the @antlervel.vet and @moist.dad cinematic universes. I had only partially scrolled down to see Stella’s post did not immediately recognize it to be a quote… reader I was confused.

It sure was fun to be repeatedly incorrected by peeps about historical data thats for sure.
To your point. I think these days it's become increasingly hard to differentiate between a genuine off target munition, bad coordinates (no matter the source), carelessness or just plain maliciousness.

Now does it matter to the occupants of a hospital thats hit if its a single precision targeted munition or one of so many that the odds of the hospital being hit was a near certainty.
You might think all family stories are myth and legend. Here we have history books that back them up with facts.

Finally, and importantly referring back to a point I made in a previous reply you seem to have ignored, Both airforces were aware of the positions of hospitals. They knew when they were putting hospitals in the direct firing line and did it any how.

Furthermore both allied and axis airforces performed precession raids during the war aside from the more well known high altitude mass bombings. These raids were accurate but very risky and thus used sparingly when needed.

Im not saying bombs were 100% accurate, obviously not, but thats a long way from from saying "no air force in the world had the ability to aim at a building and hit it during WW2."

Mythology? I literaly looked up the actual numbers reported from the war.
Let's be clear. You said "No air force in the world had the ability to aim at a building and hit it during WW2." but thats patently not true. If were then bombing would have been given up as a waste of time and resources.

You gonna block and run after retracting your bullshit claims too, or will I be needing to block you later.
Happy either way, In fact I'll set a reminder.

The CEP of the highest accuracy level bombers in wwii was measured in
*miles*
Remember, you quite confidently told me that "The CEP of the highest accuracy level bombers in wwii was measured in *miles*"
You've since spent an hour repeatedly trying to defend yourself when I said that was bullshit. I'll happily accept an apology at this point

You do know what a measured average CEP is right? I mean you brought the term up all patronizing like before you completely pulled distances out of your arse. The numbers I’ve quoted were worked out from aerial photography after the mission and measuring relative crater distances

Seriously you both are making claims that just do not stand up to a moments research. You’ll notice how I’ve produced actual numbers, compared to vague assertions. That’s a clue.

My family history along with me being interested in areas that I live means I learn things. In this case they have both meant I learned more about the blitz.

2. Bombers wound not necessarily be able to fly directly over the target. This wasn’t due to error so much as the understanding that flying your entire bomber flight line astern over the target makes a pice of piss for anti aircraft to shoot everyone down!

Oh dear, still trying to incorrect me are you pal?
1. The Norden bombsight used by the USAF was on a par with the MkXIV used by the majority of the RAF. Both CEPs were around 370-450 yards. Still significantly smaller than a mile.

Pro tip, don't play this game with someone who knows their history, who's family home and business was wiped out on the very first bombing run of the blitz and now lives in another area what was near flattened by the same campaign.

That seemed a little off as it would have meant large portions of the uk countryside being bombed so I looked it up and you know what? You deserve a great big thank you for incorrecting me.
Turns out the SABS employed by the RAF had a CEP of 120yards, so you're only out by a factor more than 16.

I suspect an entirely non zero number of them are treating this as a cure for climate change. Namely if people cause climate change the getting rid of as many “unnecessary” people as possible means no climate change. You’re not meant to agree with the bad guy from the Kingsman movies plan FFS!

Sara with all due respect, thats simply not true. Neither is the idea that the Luftwaffe were unaware that the buildings were hospitals.

My point in all of this is not to denigrate or minimise anyone other than Tucker, Musk et al. Its that racial identities are real, they are complex but never as simple as a skin colour. Racists often use it as such because the moment you delve deeper they cant hide the ugliness of their beliefs.

Thats right Peoples with much lower levels of melanin in their skin first colonised what we now call the US sometime between 15 and 20 THOUSAND years before Musk or Tuckers ancestors even heard about the place! I guess they just weren't the right kind of light skinned people for them.
