There are a lot of Lincoln Republicans who are not MAGA.

There are many Christians who are not MAGA.

Hopefully there are many other Americans who just want to stop the hate and are willing to accept people who are coming to reality.

We will all need to make accommodations if we are to unite.

There is no ideological purity test we implement at Leaving MAGA. Our only non-negotiable mandate is: to truly leave MAGA, one must take accountability for one's past deeds and rhetoric.

We encourage those who leave to join our nonpartisan community of others who left; some identify as very liberal, some centrist and some conservative.

I am sometimes, understandably, asked: if one leaves MAGA, where does one go?

When I was in MAGA, it was a dream to get published in Breitbart; alas, it never happened. So, satisfying to be featured in a Breitbart article.

Growing up learning about the horrors of slavery, I saw myself as one of the abolitionists (like my UU/Quaker ancestors) who would have fought slavery. When I was learning about Civil Rights, I saw myself as one of the white activists who became freedom riders & worked to dismantle segregation.
