honestly don't know what I would use Bluesky for except professional networking. Visually it looks like a series of bullet points with links, interrupted by photographs of the fires in Los Angeles.
Why do our social media platforms suck so badly. Oh yeah, capitalism.
The second issue is that all posts on Bluesky are public. I would rather that my data be scraped by Meta then have my late night and sometimes bibulous posts be read by anyone in the world. I should've done more research before social media signalling.

After spending several hours on Bluesky, I am almost certain that it is not what I want. The first issue is a 300 character limit which must've seemed exciting back in the 90s, but which now seems like a strangely unimaginative copy-and-paste of an antiquated Boomeresque and early Gen-X Twitter.
It may be that the rumours of my Facebook profile's demise (for which I alone am responsible) have been greatly exaggerated.
