and i don't think this is sparing much in terms of workload anyway, genai video is notoriously bad when it comes to lip sync and continuity so either they're generating a ton of wasted video and leaving an editor to sift through for a usable take, or someone is manually correcting things with CGI

like the fact that they're using union VAs is... better than the alternative ig, but it's ultimately still either screen actors or animators who are getting cut out here (had this been either a live action production or a human animated one).

i get what you're saying but at least from the trailer this doesn't seem surrealist at all, moreso just a standard, dramatized, lionizing retelling of American history in a photorealistic style, so even from that angle I don't think the use of genai is appropriate here
