Back to back inspections and a job interview for me!

Quietly reflecting on a very packed last week of the spring term. Ofsted, Head Teacher interview panels and a wealth of meetings in between.
Education really is a rollercoaster with the adrenaline, twists and turns before the braking system kicks in leaving you a little dazed and confused!

Someone decided the final week of the longest term in history was not complete without an Ofsted inspection and interview panels for a new Head Teacher.
These next two weeks are very much needed!

Good to hear. I’ve booked tickets for the weekend we break up. Taking my Year 11 daughter to inspire her ahead of her GCSE exams.

100% this! I spend my whole working week chasing funding, trying to hold LAs to account and attending meetings with the same LAs who ask why I’m not offering more provision to students!

I had it last week. My advice is to lean into it and rest. Wishing you a speedy recovery. It’s horrid!

It’s like jumping onto a moving rollercoaster but there’s no feeling like it!

What about kids who set off on solo sailing expeditions? The media love reporting these stories. Isn’t that more dangerous than staying in expensive hotels and ability to be tracked/ checked in with at regular intervals?
Are we a little too cautious with our kids leading to a lack of resilience? 🤔
