I hate that AI is called AI because now every time I hear the way it used to be used in a game programming sense, like Trainer AI in pokemon, or mob pathing AI in Minecraft, it triggers a disgust response. It also makes googling tutorials for hobby game design a nightmare.

lrt that shit is always so absurd to me. like, no, you AREN'T meant to have an in-depth conversation with a random npc you think is cute. game dialogue serves a purpose (mostly). and if you can't think of enough interesting things for an npc to say... that might just be a skill issue!

so my partner Really Likes Cleffa and wanted one on a pokewalker. so i bred one for them named pippi.
and after modding NaN into HGSS i got curious abt the walker’s connect feature, and if NaN would appear as herself on pippi’s end.
turns out the answer is yes so the two are friends now <3
