They crash against the limp body of the chapter's survivor, Taurie Cain. Taurie lays face up in the bottom right of the illustration, with most of her body not visible. Her face is caved into a gory mess of bloody and flesh. On the left side of the illustration, just beside Portia's head, is her black cane corso, Snug. Most of Snug is obscured by Portia's head, with only the very front of his body visible. He faces left and has his mouth open in a snarl. His teeth are covered with blood. Greenish-blue waves swirl all around Snug, as if he were part of them. At the very top of the illustration, just above the surface of the waves, is a crackling, stormy violet sky. This is meant to represent the purple skies of the cursed island Portia was once stranded on. At top the waves, there is a spray of water droplets that float up in front of this sky. They look like tiny, spherical teal pearls, or stars. The artist's signature, "BUMBLEBI!" is written in the bottom right corner of the illustration in a gradient of blue and pink.
