leaders like trump are why sun tzu had to write a bunch of advice like "don't write your enemy a letter detailing what tactics you really don't want them to do"

Do you think God stays in heaven because he too lives in fear of what he's created? Here on Earth?

You get that endcap illustration for children's clothing done?

Sure did, boss, super underbooby, just like you asked.

I live in the state of California, he's my governor, I voted for him in 2018, and he's the worst piece of trash imaginable.

He hates the trans community, he's criminalized being homeless in a state where hardworking people are one missed paycheck from the street. He had Bannon on his podcast

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

It's crazy that just repeatedly saying to the world that you're *about* to do something good even though you have a terrible track record is like... a viable economic strategy. Hell, Elon's been right-around-the-corner lying to ppl for like 15 years and it's cost him nothing.

AOC came out swinging against age verification legislation and somehow the entire tech press seems to not have noticed?

There’s a certain brand of AI booster that is so bought into tech determinism that they can’t seem to understand why someone might either descriptively question or normatively oppose the prospect of massive societal disruption. It’s bizarrely early-stage “too big to fail” thinking.

This has also been my approach, primarily using ChatGPT and Claude, and what I've been seeing is similar.

And, critically, this is true in the "summarize document" space that is supposed to be the LLM wheelhouse.

Historians are quite capable of explaining the hellscape that is the US at this particular minute, and its kind of telling that you imagine we won't because it means you haven't been listening or reading

I’m sorry, doing this in a baseball cap sold by your campaign store is deliberately disrespecting the dead.

The killing of Iranian children during an illegal war is an impeachable offense (not to mention a grave crime) and Congress should really act like it.

15 Republicans in the Senate could end this nightmare before it somehow gets even worse.

Where things stand with the Department of War A statement from Dario Amodei

I think one of the most staggering industry shifts in my 16 years as a tech reporter is that it’s not become a question of “should our product help the government kill and/or surveil people?” but “to what extent?”
