Yeah, this was the first issue we've had, hoping it was a one-time thing. Really enjoying it otherwise, though.

We tried to start up a co-op session on Sunday and couldn't get it going, so I'm hoping they fixed something there.
Split between a few gameS right now - Marathon, Nioh 3, Plague Tale, and StS2. Been meaning to get back on FFXIV as well. Too many games!
I'm surprised by how much it has hooked me as well, great game.
I even dug the look and style of the game, which is what really put me off in the videos I watched beforehand.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I tried Marathon. Only did a couple runs, but it was way better than I thought it would be based on what I've been hearing.
Shooting felt good, robots were creepy.
Who knows if it will grab me long term, but decent first impression.
I've only just encountered them, but they seem intense. One for Samurai, one for Ninja, and one for each of the weapon types, and each one looks pretty deep.
First time playing this franchise, and its been surprising already in a few ways.
Currently paralyzed with skill tree choices, though.
That first Yamagata Masakage boss fight was a tough one, really had fun with it. Took me quite a few tries and forced me to figure out how to fight, which was great.
I'm a little worried that coop is going to trivialize future bosses. Hoping the difficulty scales up to handle that, but we'll see!
Picked up Nioh 3 for our next coop game, and it's already got its hooks in me, just a couple hours in. First Nioh game I've played.
This looks cool, hadn't heard of it.

The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman
Great cozy series. His writing continues to get better. I think the last book hit harder for me overall, but this one contained some of the best chapters of the series. Both fun and heart-wrenching.

Delicious in Dungeon: Volume 1 by Ryoku Kui
I picked up the complete set of this on a whim a while back. It was a good sale and it came highly recommended (and had a pretty box). Thankfully I really enjoyed this first volume! ๐
Interested to see where this goes.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Really loved this. Beautiful graphics, a twisting and surprising science fiction story told in a really interesting way, and a fun strategy game on top of it. I grew a bit tired of the strategy side midway, but overall a spectacular game.

It's so satisfying hitting those parries, nice job!
Hadn't heard how much it sold, that's crazy. Can't wait to get mine!
I wasn't much of a handheld gamer when I originally had my 3DS, but recently picked it up again and there are so many great games for that system.
I fell for that earlier too, the bastards. ๐
Without downloading any new pics, where are you mentally?
I'll be reading this one soon! Book IV set it up to be quite exciting.

Flesh by David Szalay
Canadian-born Man Booker Prize winner for 2025.
Hard one to pin down, particularly in few words. Purposefully infuriating to read at times, but the more I consider it after having finished, the more interesting I find it.

I might need to track down yakisoba pan!
Eagerly awaiting the Steam Machines, but it's not looking great...
I'm a few hours into Mewgenics, and it really hasn't clicked with me at all. The humour, the combat, the progression are all falling a bit flat for me.
I'm going to return to it a little later and try again.
This must be how people who didn't like Clair Obscur felt at its peak hype. ๐
We finally beat the Everdark Balancers in Elden Ring Nightreign last night after many tries over the last couple of weeks.
Was skeptical of this game at first, but I've really grown to love it.

So glad I returned to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, what a fantastic game! I'm fully hooked now.
The game didn't really grab me when I tried it, but I was interested to see how it developed. They had some cool ideas.
This is so quick. It's a shame that the game wasn't given a chance to figure out its audience or just find its place. Feels like they went for immediate megahit or bust.
Interesting, I loved the art and characters in 1, but I really started to dislike the combat and fell off of it. I never tried 2 because I assumed I wouldn't gel with it either. Maybe I'll have to give it a shot.

The Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman.
Book 4 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. These are such fun reads. Picked the first up on a whim, not thinking I'd do the whole series, but I'm fully invested now. Interested to see where the background plot threads lead.

Gah, mine hasn't shipped yet. Can't wait!
