Great pics, rather less colour in the beach today! Time for reflection?

Hi Deena, yes that's right, and
Not big into T, R, U either.. 🫣
Really have struggled with a damp cold winter, hard to stay positive, so l am really looking forward to Spring. Hope all is well for you, and yes, the little x's are ok! 🐝🐝🐝

It isn't Peter Hain who should be ashamed, it is this bunch of Starmerites posing as a guvverment.

What is this? a bee? he/she approached my aluminium door and after a slight struggle vanished through a gap into the door ! Nest building? Or is it food?

@cornishbird.bsky.social l believe that this our Cornish born Eider, feeding away from the gang. I don't think it would be easy to pick him out otherwise.

Back in the 1950s l knew them as a hedgey-bet, or shuffle-wings, far superior to the common 'ouse sparrah!

It takes a sharp Sharp to catch the swift Swift, great pic!

@cornishbird.bsky.social No sign of the duckling today, Rita checked 3ish and the female was on her own. Slightest chance of a second brood? Or next year with more females and a home grown male?

I am afraid that the inevitable has a habit of happening, the remaining Eider duckling has vanished, the female was seen alone around 3pm today.

And then there was one... hopefully she can protect it more effectively now.
A lone male not far off, but showing no interest.

Thanks Bob, l was beginning to wonder if it was on the cards, so it was a nice surprise this morning. They look possibly a day older than last year's on first sighting, but l could be mistaken.

Lucky you! But a nice Gtr.Whitethroat takes my '25 patch list to 101. No Eiderlets yet but still optimistic.
