The competent authorities in Dubai announced that a drone had been intercepted, and its shrapnel caused a limited fire on the exterior facade of the Burj Al Arab Hotel, and civil defense teams were able to control the incident without any injuries occurring.

A fiberglass beam is burning from the 1st to the 6th floor.
The building stands on an artificial island, 321 meters tall (1,053 feet), with 60 floors.
All those billionaires and CEOs who loudly declared they were leaving New York for Dubai when Mamdani was elected mayor may have missiles falling on their luxury resorts right now, but at least they escaped free bus access and a handful of subsidised supermarkets. A small price to pay, surely
I realise the low number of fatalities might be why this isnβt THE news story, but honestly the fact hotels in a tourist city popular with the whole world at being rocket bombed right now is wild.
Iranian missiles flying over Dubai, UAE.

I am closely monitoring the ongoing military operations in Iran. International military actions have a direct and profound impact on Marylandβs families and communities.
I served in Afghanistan and Iβve seen who pays the price when Washington rushes into conflict.
Susie Wiles is wearing an Apple Watch during a highly classified meeting on Iran.
Unreal.
Everything seems awful and chaotic and powerless, so I am left to do what I can only do: share some beauty with the world. I have no wise words or platitudes, but I do have a camera and empathy. A shot from my first global geomagnetic storm (2024) π

Trumpβs war affects Americans throughout the world.
I feel this womanβs frustration, and sheβs handling it a lot calmer than I would. Sheβs from Chicago and currently stuck in Dubai. Iβm worried about our brothers and sisters stuck in the Middle East, and I pray she makes it home safe and sound. ππ½
Sheβs finished :) Hereβs the timelapse of painting her, it was a long timelapse so itβs sped up too.
Iβll post a still of the finished piece later.

What's the use of democracy if the media is allowed to lie to the public and therefore influence their voting? We have churches that do not pay taxes directly influencing people's votes. And this is what democracy is. It's bullshit. It doesn't work like we're supposed to believe.
What has me more upset at this point, is that the US leaders that would oppose this are going to watch this regime profit off of the death of it's own innocent citizens, and it's still not far enough to get those who took the oath to honor it. π€·ββοΈ
Donald Trump jr. invested in Unusual Machines, a drone manufacturer, in November 2024, where he received 200,000 shares of stock. He also has ties to 1789 Capital, a firm that invested in Vulcan Elements, a company producing drone components that secured a $620 million Pentagon loan.
Let me help you out -
βXtend touts its drones as βlow cost per killβ, which has appealed to the US Department of Defense. In November, the firm said it had solidified a multimillion-dollar contract with the Pentagon but did not disclose the contractβs value.β
I'm not surprised they're screaming about it. But the mainstream media then amplified it as one of the biggest scandals in history.
Meanwhile, the obvious and much worse corruption with the Trump sons is treated as a one-day story, not to be revisited again.
I couldn't forward the article but I think the headline says it all.
Listen closely to every word of this
Artists are hated by dictators because they get to the core of the problem. Artists expose the rot.
This is awesome. This is love.
This is art.
This is why it is important.
This is why it can never be destroyed.
This is loveβ¦.
Wow.
Tomorrow is a Dad-Daughter Day for us.
We're going to see the film To Kill A Mockingbird at a retro theater in our town square.
It's a special film for us. We read that book to each other at night when she was 12 years old.
Then we're going out to dinner...Dad's treat.
I can't wait.β€οΈ
A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Departmentβs nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and statesβ rights.
The first crack in the wall: An ICE agent just quit.
βRuled by the Epstein Classβ feels like a real solid message, to me.
