We currently have an algorithm that already does exactly that. Before that, we had selective reporting in TV news. Before that, radio. Before that, newspapers. Before that, some dude etched his opinion on a tablet & presented it as fact.

Yes I know Ramadan isn’t always at this time of year, but Passover and Lent are, plus you got all the different flavours of Christianity with their own version of fasting or restrictive practice.
Here’s a thing that strikes me as a bit odd - most major religions having a period of fasting or restriction right when it’s spring in the Northern Hemisphere and everything is in abundance. I wonder why, thousands of years ago, they decided, oooh, lots of fruit finally, better not eat it.
At the risk of being insufferable, human beings being influenced by being repeatedly shown a particular opinion or biased piece of information is not a newly discovered phenomenon. It annoys me that we are pretending ai has magical powers here.
