FOUR SETS LEFT

“Fitz-James O’Brien deserves serious attention for developing some of science fiction’s most familiar tropes—among them microcosmic worlds, invisible monsters, time slips, and robots.” – New York Review of Books

Thanks for the kind words. Have you read Reggie Oliver's prequel, The Dracula Papers? There were four or five volumes proposed, but he only wrote the first and it was exquisite. Not at all what one might expect from a Dracula prequel, but something a whole lot more! www.goodreads.com/en/book/show...

Rosetta Stone - When the Levee Breaks
Rosetta Stone - When the Levee Breaks YouTube video by Jorge Trindade

Rosetta Stone did kind of a neat cover of "When the Levee Breaks" (which is probably my most thoroughly favourite LZ track).

Politics, should, fundamentally, be considered a creative pursuit. Its telling that most politicians are imaginatively bankrupt.

I got this set a few months ago for Christmas and it's one of my favourite book sets - the stories themselves are all new to me but as a lover of weird fiction it's been so well laid out and enjoyable to read. The books themselves are gorgeous too, highly recommend!

Michael Dirda wrote that lengthy piece about the set in the New York Review of Books, which brought a bit of attention. It's a worthy project and I had a load of fun working on it. It's almost like an exploration sometimes.

The remarkable and overlooked Irish writer Beatrice Grimshaw: our newest publication, STRANGE SOUTH SEAS, collecting her best fantastical and uncanny tales.

Packing orders right now and nothing how very few people in Ireland have ordered a copy. 🤔

I have Too Dark Park on just now, but will put that one on after. I think CFM is where something kinda came together for them? That sound that launched them into VIVIsectVI, maybe through to the end of that first phase?

I love Doomsday. Had the pleasure of working with Dave McKean for some of our book covers too! A great live album does invigourate familiar tunes. Nothing wrong with Greater Wrong! A new era, a great reboot, not the "old stuff", but artists are allowed to evolve! Those beatz rock. And rock hard.

On a more general note, I've long been enamoured with Skinny Puppy's sonic textures, chaos, and imagination. I frequently spin their albums.

And I love the way cEvin Key widely collaborates. A rare and special talent.

I'd love to know people's favourite album or tracks... and why. Elucidate!

Time to revisit Skinny Puppy's THE PROCESS today while I pack books.

Their one-time "final" album didn't get much love thirty years ago, but I've always rated it highly.
