When I was freshly in college my intestines telescoped in on themselves. Then the ER doc told me it was “a miracle” because it was so cool to see in person (he had only ever seen it in text books). He finished talking by telling me he couldn’t help me and I was being transferred lmao.

2026 is proving to be a shit show. I don’t have anything new or nuanced to say but I want to echo what I’ve seen others say: it’s easy to feel like we have no control of our lives right now so let’s do what we can and give aid where we can, even if it’s just local. Support people best we can.
We moved from Alabama to Washington in 2022 and used a moving service that I WOULD NOT recommend lol. I looked into pods etc and they seem pretty good if you have the place to set them up. If nothing else for a big move I imagine that’s less stressful since you’d have way more time
