Who the hell are they? I've never even heard of them. Or perhaps I've forgotten (memory problems).

Very good piece by @gregsargent.bsky.social in @newrepublic.com. It does a fine job of showing how the war demonstrates connections between conservatism now and then, pushing against the thesis that MAGAism was a staunch break with Neoconservatism...

Good thread from @mattpolprof.bsky.social connecting the Bush team's believe in creating their own reality right down to MAGA ideology holding that Trump can shape events and the world like putty. As Matt notes, this notion is something the right will "never surrender."
I'd never heard of them before. I blocked 'em.
I wrote this back in October. It's media malpractice not to write prominently about the mental unfitness of Donald Trump.
Biden was old in 2024. Trump is old and out of his mind in 2026.

ICE WAREHOUSE TRACKER UPDATE
We're now tracking contract awards for warehouse staffing and fit-out as the task orders drop.
If a facility isn't listed yet, we haven't seen contracts for it.

Fun fact for Cuban Caligula:
Emperor Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus, was nicknamed "Caligula," meaning "little boots," because he wore miniature soldier's footwear as a child while accompanying his father on military campaigns.

He's lying. He's blatantly lying. CPI was positive today. it wasn't negative.
Do not be fooled. If Trump lifts more sanctions on Russia, they are never coming back.
This is likely the excuse he has been waiting for all along to help Putin.
He always sides with Russia.
He is a real traitor to the US
Do not buy the lie that Peter Thiel is some anti-establishment crusader.
He was actually a business partner of Jeffrey Epstein.
Long after Epstein's horrific crimes were public knowledge, Thiel took $40 million of his money and kept emailing him for years
You know what would be good FBI experience for identifying violent criminals in a large crowd? The agents who investigated January 6.
Who have been/are being fired.
Fugate was only part-time at the H-E-B (a Texas supermarket chain).
βAccording to the youngsterβs LinkedIn page, Fugate has almost no experience in this fieldβand in 2020 was working as a self-employed βLandscape Business Owner.ββ
In 1990, when Congress created a protection for migrant children subject to abuse, it didn't anticipate backlogs would get bad enough that beneficiaries would wait years for a visa, and so never thought to explicitly bar deportation for winners.
Today the BIA greenlit deportation in that situation.
I just blocked them.
Matter of Julian Santiago PINZON ROZO, Respondent Decided March 11, 2026 U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review Board of Immigration Appeals The Immigration Judge erred in granting the respondent, who has an approved petition for special immigrant juvenile classification, a continuance to await the availability of a visa, where the respondentβs priority date will not be current for an uncertain and lengthy period of time. FOR THE RESPONDENT: Johanna T. Sanchez-Albarracin, Esquire, Wainscott, New York FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY: Edward P. Lombardo, Assistant Chief Counsel BEFORE: Board Panel: MALPHRUS, Chief Appellate Immigration Judge; CHABAN, Appellate Immigration Judge; MCCLOSKEY, Temporary Appellate Immigration Judge. MALPHRUS, Chief Appellate Immigration Judge:
To emphasize: Trump's Board of Immigration Appeals (I call it that because they purged almost everyone else) is saying that even people who are 100% certain to get a green card if the government just waits a few years should instead be ordered deported because there will be an "uncertain" wait time.
OTOH, if Trump wants to go out in public and make himself an easier target for Iran, MAGA or angry Epsteiners, who am I to complain? bsky.app/profile/ronf...
Trump is working hard today in the middle of his war campaigning in Kentucky against fellow Republican Thomas Massie, because he co-sponsored the bill to release the Epstein files. Nothing to improve the lives of Americans as he continues his Revenge & Retribution Tour.
Suspect its more because House Republican majority is so small they easily lose a couple of votes when they have to compromise with the Senate in committee. These are not people who are good at governing (or indeed much of anything).
Hegseth's DOD also spent more on furniture - $225K - in 2025 than they did in the preceding decade. They bought recliners and fruit basket stands, among other things. Kristi Noem wasn't the only one living the high life on the taxpayers' dime. bsky.app/profile/gree...
Itβs time to resurrect William Proxmireβs Golden Fleece awards. These people are utterly without shame spending other peopleβs money.
So much for ending needless government spending.

AUSTRALIA SHUTS EMBASSIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST: Australia closed its embassies in Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, as well βas the consulate in Dubai amid potential escalation of the war. Australian diplomats and their dependents are directed to leave Israel and the UAE.
ByΒ Yongchang Chin,Β Sherry SuΒ andΒ Bill Lehane (Bloomberg) --Β Refiners are beginning to balk at eye-watering premiums on available oil barrels, threatening to slow down the flow of the worldβs most traded commodity as the war in the Middle East upends energy markets. Markups of as much as $40 a barrel above benchmarks in the Middle East, $13 in Brazil and $10 in Azerbaijan β on top of sky-high freight rates β are leading refineries to hold off purchases at a time when many are cutting crude processing and fuel prices are surging. The soaring premiums and hesitation to close deals were related by several traders with direct knowledge of supply talks.Β The holdup is just the latest sign that traders and refineries around the world are increasingly scrambling to adjust to the upheaval in a region that accounts for a fifth of global crude supplies. This could further exacerbate theΒ shortages of fuelΒ that are showing up in some markets around the world.
