All we’re saying to America, is “be true to what you said on paper.”
I get a similar reaction when I tell people I work in the public health field. No. It is, in fact, a horrific time to be in this field.
These are, of course, absolutely bare minimums.
We can actually predict polar vortex events now by monitoring Ted Cruz flight patterns
By the way this is the crime that they executed him for. They abhor being watched and they think if you do anything they dislike you must be crushed under their boot.
Evil. No other word for it
DHS has shot 12 people during immigration enforcement operations since September:
Thank you all. You are the best of us
ICE movements are tracked block by block, with observers following or intercepting both known ICE vehicles and suspicious vehicles. Any alert of on-foot activity will produce 50 to 100 observers within minutes. Main issue is that the network is so dense that false alarms cause massive commotion.
The city is fully mobilized against the invaders.
We have ~15 separate radio dispatches, one for each neighborhood, and dozens more for the suburbs/Saint Paul. Each dispatch/monitoring channel contains somewhere between 500 and 2000 people. At any given time there are probably a dozen mobile patrols and 100 on-foot observers in each neighborhood.
Okay ebike friends. Two questions. What ebikes do you recommend for city commuting/cargo? And do you know of any trailers/pull-behinds that would fit a Great Dane? The biggest I can find has a 110lb weight capacity, but I need 150lb capacity.
There’s also been dozens of construction raids in Alabama where there isn’t the community support to document them.
But two ICE officials said they’re targeting construction sites there.
And DOJ just said in our case that construction sites are “open fields” that don’t require warrants to enter.
Now we’re explaining that deflation is bad huh
...will only consider a church-going partner. And what's the best way to find one of those?
This was my experience when I used to be a Christian and involved in a church community.
The issue I see is that people aren't just going about their lives, and if they happen to find a partner via church, then great. They intentionally search for a partner within their church community. Part of this is bc of the widespread belief that they should not be "unequally yoked." Thus, they
Families too frightened to shop for groceries. In America.
Add to this that HSI just filed a declaration in our case challenging these policies saying they can’t trust REAL IDs as proof of status.
So showing your papers isn’t even enough to end the stop.
A reminder that most Americans who are life-long citizens have nothing OTHER than a Real ID to prove their citizenship. This is CBP’s chief enforcer saying that ID doesn’t count.
I'm with you. Early career research and eval in the public health space. When I saw the page go up about autism & vax, I told my colleagues we couldn't rely on CDC anymore & to be cautious. Also heartbroken seeing how all of HHS, all research & public health institutions are completely degraded.
So... can you revoke and change God mothers?
Everyone in the replies acted like she was entitled to do what she did. But when myself and one other person pointed out she was breaking the speed limit and distracted driving laws, we got arguments and accusations of being "Karens".
Last week, a woman posted in a community group that someone was aggravated at her & driving recklessly bc she was "just going the speed limit", though she admitted to going over the limit in her post AND stopped in the middle of the road and took a picture of their car after they passed.
I don't want to be a "I'm not surprised" guy but covid made it clear that a substantial part of the population wants the freedom to do whatever they want even if it kills them and/or others
Do not do this.
Protesters are showing up in Cincinnati, Ohio for the Hands Off! protest!
Thank you. Block every damn thing. Do not work with them. Obstruct them at every step
What a moment.
So, here, in short, is what the Justice Department is offering the federal judiciary as a constitutionally sound option for migrants who say they face illegal deportation to El Salvador. These migrants have no right to contest their classification as gang members. They have no right to challenge the president's invocation of the Alien Enemies Act or secure a classwide restraining order against it. Their access to the courts is limited to an individual habeas petition in their district of confinement, which cannot practically address their grievances. Moreover, the government has no obligation to give migrants time-even just a few hours-to file a habeas petition or access to a lawyer or interpreter who could help. The government may, instead, whisk them away to El Salvador with no advance notice. And as soon as they are delivered to CECOT, they can no longer file a habeas petition, because they are out of U.S. custody.
The Justice Department’s latest filings make it abundantly clear that it is creating a black site for migrants in El Salvador that’s worse than Gitmo. slate.com/news-and-pol...
