Idk, the Amani were wronged and I feel like Zul'jin was right to want to reclaim what was stolen, but I also feel that maybe they saw his need not being altruistic?

The way I interpreted it is that the Loa perhaps saw that his brutality wasn't in the best interest of the Amani vs. the Twilights blade being a symptom of a problem that would consume everyone. Also, perhaps they respected Zul'Jarra atoning for her grandfather's heresy and hubris?
