And if you'll permit me to be a bit mean and judgy... If all a person has to offer humanity is that they have a functioning reproductive system, that's incredibly sad.

The survival of the human species does not solely revolve around the ability to make offspring. Believe me, you'd have a *very* hard time managing if *everyone* had kids.
Who's educating them? People who don't have a gaggle of their own kids preventing them from working, either childless people or people who employ childless people to mind their kids while they work
Who's working late so you can get home in time to look after the kids after school? Childless people. Who's working school holidays so you can spend time with your kids? Childless people.
Gestation and childbirth are high risk activities. Who's going to look after all your offspring if you don't survive? That's right, the childless uncles and aunts.
Who's going to share the work of minding them so you get a break? The childless uncles and aunts.
That's just mammals, and just menopause. Nature is packed with examples of social species where non-reproducing adults are still important to the survival of the group.
I am incredibly tired of the idea that gay (or trans or otherwise not-reproducing people) are evolutionarily useless to humanity. We, along with orcas and elephants, literally evolved the menopause because we need people in society who aren't pumping out babies but fulfil other social functions.

Morbid thought: address books of the dead.
Pretty address book to hold the names, numbers, birthdays, deathdays, old addresses and final resting places of our departed?
Got that heckin neurospice.
I couldn't do that. Even if I plan to do it right away, I write it down anyway because chances are I'll get distracted by another thing that needs doing while I'm on the way to do the thing.
Seconded. I'm primarily crochet and can't get my head around knitting, but I managed socks on a knitting loom.
What was in the box? A wheelchair!
Admittedly this is pretty anti-climactic for those hoping for #LeverageRedemption spoilers. π¬
But itβs super duper important not just for me, but for all Disabled people in this industry, and for our allies everywhere.
Let me explain:
Riiiight, they're just "really good friends". Roommates even.
Me banging the homies: it's not gay, it's just a display of affection!
Uuurgh my ADHD is spicy today. Brain feels like it's been filled with sherbet and is gently fizzing.
Pet peeve: when I have a subscription for regular orders of a product and my order is delayed because the product is out of stock... Almost every subscription cycle!
You know you need that item on that day, why's it out of stock?
DWP is sending out benefits rate increase notifications. They're not using the brown envelopes anymore, it seems.
Sorry I dropped off the radar. Just a bit longer, but I'm popping in to give you TMI: I'm finally healed enough from the hysto to reinstate my Fuck Permit.
Thank fuck for that.
ah, ADHD eating
Please read this thread. The birth of the modern paramedic/EMS from the heroic actions of Lieutenant (later Major) Nurse Abbie Sweetwine, a Black USAF medical officer from Florida.
excellent thread as always
Yeeterus update: was back in A&E on Tuesday, finally got seen 1am Wednesday morning by which time the bleeding had stopped, again.
Surgeon says there's no sign of anything *wrong*, it's just granulation of the healing tissue that's intermittently bleeding.
The creator of the βOh Noβ webcomic needs help in raising funds so he can continue his legal battle against a shady as fuck board game company trying to claim ownership of all his artwork. Donβt know how these assholes sleep at night. Plz contribute to this if you can, & re-skeet

Umm *rummage* Β£249
The brand seems reliable in general, though. My other one is a cheap little Tower one but the capacity is a bit meh if you're doing more than one portion of something.
I like my Ninja multicooker but it's the expensive one with lots of functions like pressure cooking and yogurt incubation.
