So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

All I remember is 'outstandingfold in the wetty grippers' (or something like that) which featured in a tyre advert. But, yes, Trump's verbal diarrhoea is similar.

I remember it distinctly. I had a repairman working on the television at the time. We both watched it transfixed.

Yeah, but immigrants, innit?

Cunningly, the showers always seem to align with school drop off and home time. Probably play time too.

Winter Storms Could Bring 8 Feet of Snow to Parts of California The greatest impact is expected across Northern California, where a pair of powerful storms are expected to begin on Sunday night and last into the week.

A pair of powerful Pacific storms are expected to bring multiple days of heavy snow for California’s mountains, starting on Sunday and lasting into the week. Forecasters said as much as eight feet of accumulated snow was possible through Wednesday.

And very scary. I can’t watch it as I’m always waiting for them to crash on to the ice. 😳

But there’s curling on BBC 2 … much more exciting. (Not that I understand a jot what’s going on.)

Hmm, sticky pages though.

I think more people are politically unaware than we appreciate in our β€˜community’. Could be wishful thinking on her part …

Leading opposition politician? I think Kemi Badenoch might have something to say about that … though probably not wrong … sadly.

I don’t think it’s stopped raining all day. And yet we still have a hosepipe ban in Sussex. Is it too much to ask South East Water to try and hang on to all this water instead of letting it drain away through burst pipes?

Still recovering from the final episode of The Night Manager. Will Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie be back for the third series? Do hope so.

Oh, definitely. Though one disadvantage is not being able to see beyond the β€˜shelf’ to avoid tripping over things below.

Certainly I know many school librarians who were happy take the Walliams books off their shelves. One described his books as β€˜Little Britain’ for children.

Yet, he seems to be getting away with ignoring demands to see the rest of the Epstein files. It helps if you have complicit White House staff and compliant media.

Did something similar with Red Eye. Thought I was setting up the last episode and realised I hadn’t actually seen the one before.
Also years ago, in the days of continuous showings at the cinema (I am that old), arrived too early for the film and saw the denouement. Helluva spoiler.

I was trapped outside my car once in a time-limited supermarket car park. Couldn’t open the driver’s door wide enough and mobility issues meant I couldn’t slide over from the passenger side.
Had the driver not returned in time, I would have had to a fee for overstaying. πŸ˜–

😱 Well worth bingeing on a wet winter’s afternoon. Though it makes the current president look even more of a dud.

Saving Knives Out for Christmas viewing. One of the few films the whole family can agree on.

I went out for a late breakfast yesterday, preceded by a little something to keep me going. Still had a light lunch mid-afternoon and the usual pre-dinner nibbles later. Trying desperately to cut down today, but already had delayed elevenses. 😟
