My mum grew up on a farm and the custom was that a certain age (will have to check) kids had to behead a chicken. She did it and is still traumatised by the headless chicken running off.

The nice member of easyJet staff who put my suitcase into the overhead locker said that the reason for the flight delay is that BER airport was closed. Twice.
They left Manchester early and could not land. No explanation given by airport.
