Are you writing your script in VSCode? Iβve never seen that before

I love this. He looks like a sad puppy π₯Ί
Itβs really great. Ive been somehow primarily focusing on making UI in godot and I just whipped out a full working settings menu in a day. Been learning godot for 2 years and still live learning it!
The limiting factor in shipping indie games isn't the engine - it is the willpower and/or life situation of the developer(s).
Hitting that point in development where I'm like "I want to make a game! ...but nobody told me I have to make the entire thing!".
A timeline visually representing the advice from my post, emphasising how dramatically and reliably having more time, with a testable build, converts to your game being better and your studio being safer.
I've been running an indie games studio for 15 years now, and it felt like a good time to boil down what I've learned into 4 pieces of advice:

I hope it's of use, not least because goddamn I forgot how long blog posts take to write.
I donβt know why people are only saying Minesweeper, itβs also Sudoku/Picross
I actually like it. I got really good at it after a while and sometimes Iβll boot up HG just to play that and nothing else.
Love godot! Been great for me these past two years! I recently managed to remake a game jam game that took me three days in Unity, in a day in Godot. Workflow game changer for me.

Hey so I wasnβt sure how to submit a bug report for mobile but I found a bug when returning to a saved run where I had apparently opened up an arcane pack but the shop UI is still visible and things arenβt placed where theyβre supposed to be. Canβt remove without starting a new run
Nala took two steps outside and said nah lol
Getting stuck causes players to explore the world.
Dying causes players to think about what they're doing.
An "impossible" situation causes players to learn how the game works and eventually achieve the impossible.
We need to be able to design *some* games around these fundamental ideas.
Love it when my own app absolutely nails a game suggestion for me. Crescent County looks fab!
Weβre hitting crunch time, so now is the time to use and share(!) Ludocene.com if you donβt want to loose it.
Itβs free and supports game experts from all walks of life: www.ludocene.com/tutorial
Why does my code work? It's not supposed to work, it's missing so many lines that it actually needs but it works perfectly?

WHY DOES IT WORK?!

GDC Analytics just came out. Hopefully these numbers are put to good use for the betterment of the industry...Mainly because I would like a job. 4 years out of school, couple of games made, and still have hope!
what show is this?
I think this bears reposting
I calculated this a while ago. Although I have a million and ten ideas, I realized no matter what, I have to make at least five of them before I leave this mortal coil. I refuse to go if theyβre not done.
