re: prev repost, seriously, don't fuck with lilies if you have cats in the house. I don't even plant them in my yard and I only ever take cats out leashed and supervised. My aunt's cat got out once on accident and chewed on one, they rushed him to the vet, and he was in intensive care for days
EVERY SINGLE PART of a lily is toxic!
Petals, leaves, pollen, the water in the vase.
You can celebrate someone other ways besides killing their cat.
I worked as a vet tech for 10 years. Let me assure you, you don't want to see your cat go through this nightmare.
A photo collage showing various posters I illustrated/designed, featuring various organisms found in a particular biome or of a specific group. They are on colorful backgrounds. A rounded orange rectangle with text reads βBirthday Print Sale! Take 20% off all prints, applied automatically at checkout!β, along with a link to my shop (shop.fossilforager.art). The sale ends 3/15 at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time.
Itβs my birthday and (almost) the 6th anniversary of Fossil Forager!! To celebrate Iβm doing a print sale - take 20% off all art prints until this Sunday! π

Orange cat (Peach) twisted into the strangest sleeping position
Brown tabby (Juniper) snuggling in bed
Peach hunched over in an incredible pose with her front paws on either side of her left haunch and her tongue on her nose
Peach and Juniper hanging out on the back of the couch together
And if I hadn't started looking at the time I did, I may have missed out on these perfect alien babies ππ I hope you find the perfect companion!!
When I lost my cat of 14 years I thought I was supposed to grieve for an "appropriate amount of time" before looking at getting new cats, it felt kind of wrong to 'move on' so quick, but honestly I'm so glad I did. It makes such a huge difference to have somewhere to put all that extra love
FUCK I wanna go to the amazon so bad ughghghghhhhh
IF Gavin Newsom is on a ballot
THEN me and many others will refuse to vote for him
THEREFORE instead of bitching at me and others like me
YOU should take the *years* you have and make sure that doesn't happen if you actually fucking care
BECAUSE my position is immutable

A portrait of a short eared owl face
All of our wildlife patients this year so far have been owls, but this is our first short-eared.
You can help prevent car strikes like this by obeying rural speed limits and not throwing any litter out of cars. Even organics like apple cores attract rodents to roads, which attracts their hunters. πͺΆ
I don't typically get the heebiejeebies from reading a book but this one got real tense!! I had a good time!! and I love the storytelling tradition it keeps with, the way the story loops back in on itself in a few different ways is really engaging
Finished reading "The Only Good Indians" by Stephen Graham Jones and it was incredible, I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of horror novels and can stomach some pretty visceral depictions of violence/gore.
fingers crossed I find like a stone gargoyle or some shit someday!! π€
I'll keep an eye out and if I come across something particularly You at an antique store or estate sale or something I'll grab it for you haha π
this is the *epitome* of your workspace. I think you need some stone statues of regal creatures and a spinning globe maybe but damn, congrats on living the dream in this specific instance haha
Pouring one out in your honor
in my defense, there were a lot of things on the kitchen counters that did not fit in the cabinets
me: okay we have an event at our house on Friday gotta clean up and make it look nice
my brain: we cannot achieve this without reorganizing the baking cabinet
When someone says βScientists do not want you to knowβ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They canβt shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
all this to say if you want my hot take about the ending of E33 hmu and also I am feeling so vindicated. I did a media analysis all by myself
finished E33, finally got to talk to my bestie about it, and was SO validated when we immediately agreed completely on the ending LMAOOOO
I'm pretty sure our agreement is a bit of a Hot Take but it's the sort of thing you can't even really allude to without getting into spoiler territory, rip
