Just listened to the latest episode of @devilsitdpod.bsky.social with John Mackenzie. I thought it was excellent. I was leaning towards Amorim going after Brentford. The episode put a lot think into perspective. No idea where it all ends, but there’s no manager who guarantees anything for Man Utd!

I agree we should loan out Antony, to help offload him next summer. Unless Amorim sees him as a viable RWB option. Proven goalscorers are the hardest to sign. We should keep an eye on Victor Osimhein situation, in case there’s an opportunity for Man Utd!
We shouldn’t sign another project striker. We have Hojlund already. If we get a new striker, he needs to be a proven goalscorer now!

Mazraoui is quickly becoming one of our best players. Agree that he needs to start. Thought he did well at RCB, but can see him playing wingback too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Martinez plays CCB. Amorim might be doing a lot of experimenting in the next few games!

The constant switches of play from Man Utd, mainly involving the wide centre-backs and the wing-backs, were often quite effective yesterday. A small thing, but probably a big part of Amorim’s approach.

Hopefully we start seeing Ugarte, Mainoo, Mount starting regularly, plus Shaw return is important. The LCB role suits him nicely. The area we’ll need to find a solution for is LWB, as it didn’t suit Dalot. Malacia might bring better balance. No International breaks now for a while will help Amorim!
