Wonderful breakdown!!! The scariest part of these misrepresented stats is that they drive they idea that these beliefs are common and normal, which itself makes people more likely to align with them!!! It's a blight on every journalist who reported this uncritically

it's reducing time for teachers themselves to teach, to make room for that testing. Which in turn means more students fall behind, then more have to use the AI that demonstrably performs worse at teaching than the teacher does. It's cart-before-horse at best.

The problem is what you're suggesting doesn't work because AI doesn't consistently give the right answers, or explain it in a way conducive state. It returns text likely to be similar to text people on the internet gave to the same prompt. It's tutoring via random Redditor, and worse -

I understand the difference just fine; in my experience they weren't all that different. Since they had to be made for each day and be quick enough to do and still have room for coursework, daily tests were still largely testing my ability to regurgitate terms or simple ideas, not apply them.

The rest I aced just on memorizing enough and being good at standardized test-taking. You need projects and writing to see if students actually understand and can apply the material and aren't just regurgitating it; if the AI is doing that for them, at best you have no idea if they're learning.

Idk what the other guy is on after this but no, it's the testing that comes down to memorization and being good at taking tests > knowing the material. I know firsthand: I held down a 4.0 gpa through college while changing degrees several times and I maybe actually understood one of those fields 1/2

Scrubs revival is apparently on the same lines as previous seasons which unfortunately means it hasn't solved it's biggest problem:
JD being the dullest lamest manchild in fiction only barely tolerated because he's entertaining when Turk is on the screen too.

They went put the fx team through all that trouble just to tell them to get bent, used AI instead, then kept that terrible impression. One has to wonder if it was really the visuals that were really hurting that scene before it was finished cause it's certainly the audio now.

Bodycam video contradicts ICE claims in fatal shooting of U.S. citizen Ruben Ray Martinez in Texas
Video of last year's fatal shooting of Ruben Ray Martinez obtained by CBS News appears to contradict claims that Martinez was shot by an ICE agent because he "accelerated" and "intentionally ran over"...
DHS claimed "an ICE agent had fired 'defensive shots' into Martinez's vehicle after Martinez 'intentionally ran over' another agent."
But body cam video now "shows that Martinez's vehicle, a blue Ford Fusion, was stationary or going at a very low rate of speed when he was fatally shot."

I served, you're absolutely full of shit. The poster or book with forbidden tattoos is older than either of us. And I was a combat medic, saw plenty of infantry with ink and none of it racist symbols. Because they wanted to stay in the military.

So let me get this straight ...
1. US bombs Iran
2. Oil price goes up a bit, benefitting Russia's petrostate
3. Russia gives Iran targeting info
4. Oil price shoots WAY up
5. US unsanctions Russian oil

Brian McGinnis' wife has
NOT been allowed to see him in the hospital.
He is currently awaiting surgery for severe injuries.
Legal counsel has also been denied access.
A Marine veteran.
A firefighter.
A father of four.
And his family still cannot see him.
so apparently Brian McGinnis has been denied access to both his family and legal representation since a sitting senator broke his arm

I planned to share my report on the body cam footage early next week when I learned that a DC news station had obtained some of the footage as a result of my lawsuit and they were going to scoop me. After working on this for a year, I couldn't let that happen. Published 2 mins before they aired :)

You know how in Final Fantasy VIII, the power of the Sorceress is a thing that can only be possessed by a single person at a time, and it passes from woman to woman through the centuries?
I feel like this Palmer Luckey image set explains what happened to Guy Fieri

Reading the comments and I remain that wireless charging is for people who:
-Are incapable or organizing 1 (one) wire
-Break their charging ports (somehow? I mistreat all my phones and never have I broken a charging port)
-Can't use their own brains to make a designated "phone-goes-here" spot

You are expecting the shitheads to be visibly shitty but the successful shitheads get to where they are by being shitty in ways you have to think to catch. They bank on the idea that they can trick you into getting shit on and liking it.
The solution to that is to think, instead of "I dont know"ing
