As a former libertarian it disgusts me how any voted for Trump, ignored his authoritarianism, attempted coup, his immigration Gestapo, things they claimed they were against- but I'm pleased when tariffs or foreign wars finally break through.

Yes, many of them are fighting on some issues, but we need to demand better.
The American government is doing forced disappearances in our name - we have a continued moral duty to stand in opposition to this terror that falls in a historical line with Pinochet, Videla, and other dictators who spread insecurity and fear through communities with paramilitary enforcers.
We can still pass a bill to correct this - remove money from politics. Make it illegal to bribe with corporate or dark money lobbying, even union money, allow only face to face lobbying. And public funds can be used for campaigns.
If you say "that would be expensive", consider what we lose now.
You cannot fight against fascism if you take money from the oligarchs.
Dems are complicit if they aren't fighting back.
Democrats need to oust anyone taking money from AIPAC or Palantir or any of the fascist corporate entities.

the fact the president of the united states is even thinking about asserting emergency powers to disrupt an election - just a few years after he incited an armed coup attempt - should be the top issue. but the media mostly shrugs and the opposition doesnt focus on it.

I am glad that some GOP women are standing up regarding the sexual harrassment claims re: their colleagues, but what about the credible claims made against Trump & the several FBI interviews in the Epstein files that have not been released - in violation of the law?

I do worry about people who hear only right wing propaganda and lies, and none of the real facts. I hope that is changing, as people realise that the administration must be lying because their words don't match real life - I hope they wake up in time. Before it's too late.
Yes. I believe that the midterms will toss them out. Assuming that we can prevent them from messing with the elections, they will lose badly. But we still need rule of law and justice. We need real reform and real democratic and cultural change. I hope that it's coming. ☮️
