To anybody who has done a self-hosted blog before: what technologies did you use? Just curious about what's out there, as I'm thinking of starting one up myself.
Might just write markdown files and host them to be honest.
But seriously huge thanks/props to the people over at Laravel, I dunno who else to ping to give that feedback to besides @joe.codes since your name is on the blog post announcing the Inertia 2.0 upgrade, but please send my thanks and regards to the team.
If this piques your interest, check it out:

I'm not even on InertiaJS 2.0 yet and that has even more great stuff I want to use (I'll get on there soon, just haven't had time to upgrade).
There are even community adapters for many common frameworks:

To expand on this, it has the developer experience I like from MVC, where I define routes and what data gets sent into the client via the Controller's return, and it also has my favorite parts of a JS SPA, where the routing is handled client-side (past first-page load).
After spending a few more months working in it, I'm convinced that InertiaJS + Laravel is my favorite web-dev stack to date. Combines my favorite parts of MVC and JS SPA development.
This is exactly where my head went too.
Also big ups to using vite instead of webpack, holy shit it's so much better than webpack.
Laravel Jetstream with InertiaJS using React is really neat tbh, having a lot of fun with this.
Look as much as I like PHP unironically, not all of my code opinions can also be shitposts. I actually really dislike working with Angular, but I also haven't touched Angular in a very, very long time.
At the time I honestly preferred just jQuery.
I wrote a JS library last week for e14n actually, with a paid tier for EaaS.
Yo how much for the room temp superconductor?
Congrats?
Look I wrote ColdFusion once and anything is better than that.
Iโll never run out of PHP
is ohio okay
THIS IS TERRORISM
Cheesy gordita crunch is the shit
Today I woke up and felt just awful, like genuinely terrible. Made some coffee, pet the dog, nothing helped.
Then I opened up PHPStorm, basked in the warmth of my code, and found renewed purpose and motivation.
PHP is the light.
blocking is misunderstood by many, so here's a good rule of thumb: when i block you it's because i am politely unsubscribing from your replies. when you block me it's because you are a censor denying me my rightful spot in the marketplace of free ideas, and because you hate friendship and love
My parents? Uhhhhhhhh I don't really see them. Nope. Not at all. Maybe on the holidays
*Psst Dad I need another million bucks*
This is shitposting on a whole new level.
I'm sorry did y'all get a news anchor to say "skeets" on national TV?
My fingers were made to do two things:
1. Code PHP
2. Post
I need to figure out if I can program in a dislike button.
vim is terrible, linux should just have notepad
like a true programmer I had a delicious dinner of a red baron frozen pizza and three miller high lifes
Sorry I'm too busy writing a terminator function to log all http requests into my site and http responses out of my site, then writing a configuration layer to conditionally log endpoints on an endpoint-by-endpoint basis.
JSON? garbage, trash, awful
gimme some XML like a *real, mature* API.
