The lack of an opinion makes the precedent they’re setting weaker. It is possible that is the goal. Help Trump now but not set a strong precedent when/if he is ousted that could used by others.

Data showing the higher temps is obvious.
It's the cause that is arguable.
You can make a study showing anything and all the funding for such studies are looking for a human-caused conclusion.
