Here we go - #CPConf2025 is on! Fabulous to see so many people attending,n 🥳🥨
I'm so happy to attend the Machine Learning Summer School with Antoine at AIMS in Mbour, Senegal. It's a fantastic occasion to meet new people from different backgrounds, learn and share new experiences, and discover new ideas! Thanks to the organizers for putting this amazing meeting together!
Researchers in France are working on creating a french network of researchers to organize interaction, communication and training in #Computational_Neuroscience. If you are a CompNeuro working in France, consider joining, and registering to our mailing list: listes.services.cnrs.fr/wws/subscrib...
Check-out our poster at #cosyne2025 : "Robust Unsupervised Learning of Spike Patterns with Optimal Transport Theory" with Antoine Grimaldi, Matthieu Gilson, myself, @artipago.bsky.social Boris Sotomayor-Gomez, and Martin Vinck

In this work, we show that the phase-based analysis in neural traveling waves is insufficient to unambiguously determine the effective flow of information. Indeed, in some specific cases, the phase gradient indicates the opposite direction from other methods, such as the Granger Causality.

"What do neural travelling waves tell us about information flow?"
A new preprint is out, with Antoine Grimaldi, Fredo Chavane and @martinavinck.bsky.social
We're thrilled to resume our monthly seminar on neural traveling waves in February with Andrea Alamia! Join us on
