As you can see from the first image, the detonation occured mid-nappy change - thankfully I wasn't standing in the danger zone at the time. I was amazed when I witnessed this event, so I quickly dug out my old SUVAT equations from A Levels and got to work calculating the muzzle velocity. The 'package' must have left my child's rear end at a blistering speed of approximately 2.5m/s in order to bridge the 800mm gap to the wall after falling around 500mm in height. Obviously these are rough calculations and I'm assuming no air resistance (a rather big assumption given the consistency and 'spread' of the projectile) I'd be grateful for any thoughts and maybe we could get the air resistance component approximated and included in my workings. No banana available at the time but have included one on the changing mat after the event. Male, 30, size 8, will wash banana before consumption.

Design for the front side of my astrolabe, with many arcs for the horizon, azimut, altitude and twilight. Above are some stars, the ecliptic and equator circles, and a ruler for the declination.
Back side of my astrolabe: civil & zodiacal calendars, unequal hour lines, shadow squares, equation of time, and the alidade for measuring the altitude and equation of time.
