I would happily forgo physical media if I was able to actually own and manage (e.g., lend, resell) digital media freely.

I’m holding out for at least a few months to see if any special edition consoles for my fav series release this year.
I’d assume since advertisers don’t care if people engage beyond the point of clicking (i.e. eyeballs being exposed to their ad), that likely influences the quality of the average article/video/product. Better to get many “ok” articles out than fewer “good” ones if monetary success is a goal.
