Just now realizing that its been 11 almost 12 years since my intro to the fandom. Terrifying
I should add that I liked a bunch of the animated mainstream characters like Robin hood and Lola bunny but didn’t know it was a whole thing.
Saw them in passing on ifunny when I was about 12. I thought they were cool but saw all the internet hate and hid it for a good 4 or 5 years. Right before college, I mentally made a sona and about a year into college i met a group of furs who convinced me to be involved in the fandom.
