I am glad we have a province making the initiative. I know Ontario passed conditional on NY and someone else, but the US needs to work on basic human rights right now, so DST is not being considered.

I just learned of Dan Simmons' death. I feel it is not getting the attention he deserves.
I learned about Hyperion on my co-op term at IBM. My co-workers had a book club and Hyperion had been their last book and they suggested it to me. I loved the book. It was amazing and has a lasting legacy.
In Bird Watcher, my first promo material described them as bird-like creatures because I had a bat as one of the "birds". One of my friends would not let me publish that. He said no one cares if you call a bat a bird.
I have a paralyzing fear of people not understanding what they are buying, or having expectations that don't match what I build. It leads to describing things in an overly precise and often self deprecating way that is terrible for convincing people to buy
The curling Boop is intensifying. Drama.
The email client that wrote that message sent it using content-transfer-encoding quoted-printable and it identifying the introduced line breaks with a =. Whatever is rendering them back is not decoding it correctly.
You'll notice they all line up at what I am guessing is around 78 characters in.
It is pretty ridiculous the double standard of moderation on pinside, both of behaviour and subforum. Some days I feel like deactivating my account again, but it is also still a very important channel to pinball buyers.
This is definitely the best written article on the OBX incident. It is interesting to see it addressed from an outside perspective.

"Best I can do is the 5th Amendment"
The album is very atmospheric (given it is an accompaniment for a performance, that makes sense). It really feels more like 16mm than a lot of her recent music. I mean not as dissonant and uncomfortable (in a good way) as 16mm, but the tone reminded me of it.
I am super excited to discover a new Jorane album dropped today!
Apparently this is the soundtrack to an aerial acrobatic show by the same name. Now I wish I could see the show...

Well that is disappointing. I knew he was a bit of a pompous asshole, but I did not know his views.
The witness is one of my favourite gaming experiences.
For those still following the ongoing IFPA organizational discussions after the Women's Advisory Board quit.
There is not much in this announcement, but having Ashley and Kaylee being theoretically equals to the other staff (except Josh) would be good, if true.

Looking forward to the release of the list in 2028
He looks like the kind of man that would know where his towel is.
Sometimes when the world is going to shit, something positive comes along to make your day a little brighter. Today, that is GWAR covering Pink Pony Club.

Clone Trois was one of my favourite Blippo+. It is cool to hear glimpses of how it was made.
If you had the US Constitution, article 2 of the UN Charter and $3.50, that would be worth enough to get you a cup of coffee.
I will never stop being confused as I read headlines and snippets about MTG as I continue to always read it as Magic The Gathering.
This is a super hero I can get behind
I used to follow covermesongs.com daily, but now I just look at they "Best of" lists each year.
This year I was excited Good Kid came in at 33. I don't really know their music, but I know their lead singer from his other career. Always fun to see worlds cross.

I still have very clear memories of playing Crusader: No Regret on Christmas. The small seasonal Easter egg permanently etched in my brain.
Interesting. I have not really followed his work since Only Revolutions. House of Leaves is one of my favourite books of all time. I will need to check this out.
Soft pastel portrait of the head of a black and white dog with brown eyes, a white forehead blaze, and white muzzle. Her ears, eyes, and cheeks are black. Her head is tilted to the viewer's right and she's looking at the viewer. Her name was Gozer and she was a very special girl and very much loved.
My late dog Gozer. She was my heart dog; she died almost two years ago but I miss her every day. This is soft pastel on sanded paper.

Today I felt like I had some time to take Portal out of my P3 and catch up on 2 3rd party games I missed during development. Young Martial Artist and Nezzex City. I love this part of the platform.
At the Ontario Open for my first pinball event as a suppressed player. I am happy that the TD is also allowing people to opt out of IFPA participation.
I was wondering if it would help with nerves and playing better. So far, no. Lol
I am feeling a hint of optimism for the first time since the OBX flippers incident. The resignation of the WAB. The change.org signatures (3.5% of the active player base). Many TDs unified in pulling the IFPA sanctioning of their events in protest. Players suppressing. This is not going away.
I played a lot of zork. I mapped the world. I made middling but honestly I never really made it very far towards beating the game. But I have neuro pathways dedicated to the great underground empire.
I love the preservation aspect of this. I love seeing how things were done. This is great.
